Too much has happened in the last 6 months that I don't think I am even going to try and post about all that. I will high light some of the more important things though.
Henry had surgery at the ripe old age of 15 months. What? Why? you might ask. Well the short story is that he had clogged tear ducts and they opened them up. That doesn't tell the whole story though. As a mom I have had my fair share of trials with my kids. This clogged tear duct thing I guess I didn't learn the first 7 times it happened. All of my kids have had this, but only 2 have had to have surgery to unclog them. So this topic I feel like I am a bit of an expert in. But with this child, surgery isn't something that I would care to repeat anytime soon. Henry did fine with everything BUT coming out of the anesthesia. He was crabby and didn't want anyone but.......his dad. I couldn't hold him, I couldn't cuddle with him, nothing. Talk about breaking a mom's heart. But we survived and the difference it has made in his eyes is awesome!
Bethany continues to grow and do wonderful things on her medicine. If only I could say the same thing about her insurance and helping us get the medicines. We have had to switch her brand of medication AGAIN because our insurance plan changed somewhat. One plan prefers one brand and our current plan prefers another. So that set her back as we had to wait for authorization and all the paperwork to be filled out. Then after seeing Dr. Z. in February, he upped her dosage. Well that set us back again, because now we had to fill out NEW paperwork with the correct dose on it. UGGG!! Insurance paperwork is a pain in the rear!!! But now I think we are back on track.
Wyatt competed in a Science Olympiad for school at the end of March. He and his partner competed in two events: simple machines and a boomilever. They placed 1st in each event!! Well, I didn't realize this but this was a state competition! So by doing so well, they qualified to go to Orlando, Florida next month (May)! So now the race is on for us to raise enough money for him to go. (If you want to help out contact me).
So, those are the best of the best from the last six months. We have had our moments of stress and our moments of.....well everything under the sun. I am going to try and do much better at keeping this updated, as this kind of serves as a journal too. So until later.....
