Dejavu

I feel like my life has been replaying itself lately. Since July I have been doing things that I didn't think that I would ever do again. You know, same story just a different day. For me though it was same story, different child. In July I took James in for a well child check up. I wasn't expecting anything to be different. But after the doctor looked at his growth chart.....I knew what was wrong. I knew it and I couldn't deny it. Since we have experience with this, the doctor looked at me and asked when we went to see Dr. Z again for Bethany. I told him and he told me that I needed to make another appointment for the same time for James. It wasn't the news that I wanted to hear, but if I have to do something twice, I might as well do something that I already know how to do.
We have been down this road called Growth Hormone Deficiency before, and now we are traveling it again with a different child. James has officially been given this badge to wear. He has done most of the tests that Bethany had to do, other than a bone age test. Dr. Z feels that he is too young to have that one done yet.....but I am sure we will have to do it soon. He has had so much blood work done in the last few months that when we drive by the hospital, that is what he talks about.
We are currently awaiting approval from the insurance for his medication, but that process is quickly coming. I received a letter yesterday saying that he has been approved. Today I got a phone call from the drug company saying that they will send out his "pen" for delivery tomorrow. I am now awaiting a call from the pharmacy that delivers Bethany's medication to verify everything and get James' first shipment coming.
I am not as emotional as I was when we were starting this process with Bethany, but I am sad. I know that he will be just fine. He has been exposed to this with Bethany and I think that he knows what will happen....he just wants to start it now! I was looking back through my posts on Bethany and her GHD and saw a picture......that picture really brought home that yes we are on the right track for James. Why? Well, when I looked at that picture of a much younger Bethany, and I looked closer.....I saw James. I saw him just with long hair. They could be twins!!!! (Just lots of years apart).
So I am traveling this road again, just this time with James. I know all the stops along this road.....well, at least I think I do. We may have a few bumps along the way that we don't know, but for now things are familiar. And for now, we wait for the medication to come so we can truly start down the road with James.
