I know really late, but I love tulips. I love the fact that they help signal that spring is almost here. I just don't seem to have much luck with them in my own garden. I was given these tulips by Gabe and the children for Mother's Day a couple of years ago. I planted them, they died (like they were supposed to). The next year they came up green and nothing else. Then the next year I had ONE blossom on my plant. Now I am up to 3!!!! I don't know what I am doing wrong....maybe it is my style of gardening. I LOVE the voluntary plants, ones that I don't have to work at making grow. Maybe these are too much work for me. But they are still beautiful!
