Balloons

It is fun living where we live. Every summer our town has a balloon ralley. This year the ralley was right around my due date for James and so we missed it....not entirely as the field where they take off is just up the hill from our house and the path that they fly usually takes them right over our house, so we can see them from our front porch. However, most people don't know that we have a balloonist that lives full time in our area. He will occasionally just take the balloon up whenever he has the right conditions. The first day of school (Aug 24th) must have been one of those days. After all the kids got off to their various schools, I happened to look out the back door and saw this:

. Now Jacob loves these balloons and he is always saying something crazy when he sees them. Today, I don't remember exactly what he said, but at one time he told me that we needed to get a ladder and that we would be able to get up there to them and fly with them. So we had an eventful day on the first day of school.
